Olive & Roccos Winter Hair Care Tips

We have clients coming in every day during winter wanting to know how to eliminate the little flyway's that show an annoying appearance on top of their head, or wondering why their hair and scalp is feeling so dry.

Winter weather is incredibly harsh on your hair, so here are some of our top Winter Hair Care Tips to help you get through.

USE GOOD PRODUCTS

We know some of you are sceptical but using good products makes a huge difference on the condition of your hair. NAK is an Australian owned company. The products feature Natural Vegan Ingredients, Luxe Botanicals, and Pure Essential Oils which provide beautiful hair rituals that respect the delicate nature of hair and skin.

Our top seller and salon favourite is the structure complex range. Vegan, Sulphate and Paraben free it is designed to rescue fragile hair and protect the hair from extreme temperatures.

GET REGULAR TRIMS

Getting a small trim every four to eight weeks is a great way to keep away those split ends, keeping your hair looking and feeling healthy and strong week in and week out.

WEAR A HAT

Wearing a hat during winter will help protect your hair from the extreme elements our Christchurch weather can give us. But be sure to be careful putting it on and off as if you are not gentle this can cause further damage of the hair.

TREAT YOUR HAIR TO SOME EXTRA CONDITION WEEKLY

Your hair deserves a little treat every now and again. Doing a conditioning treatment at least once per week will maximise strength and condition making it ready to face the day regardless of the weather.

DON'T LEAVE THE HOUSE WITH WET HAIR

Even though using heat tools is known to damage your hair, if you don't have time to let your hair air dry then blow drying on a low heat is much better for your hair than leaving walking out in the frosty weather with wet hair (not to mention you'll be much warmer with it dry!) If you are concerned about the dryer further damaging your hair even further then try using a leave in treatment after washing your hair. The NAK Replends Creme is a great add on to your hair care routine providing thermal, mechanical and UV protection.
